Government College, Balsamand was established in July, 2018 by Haryana Government, with effect from the academic session 2018-19. It is located in Balsamand, a village in Hisar-II block of Hisar District and Hisar (Lok Sabha constituency) in the Haryana state on Bhadra road.
Balsamand village has a very proud history. Balsamand is an ancient village having produced gallantry awarded defence personnel and martyrs. Agriculture is the main profession of residents of Balsamand.

The college is renamed after the name of Chaudhary Bhajan Lal, the former chief minister of Haryana. Now, the college name is Ch. Bhajan Lal Government College Balsamand (Hisar). It is affiliated to Guru Jambheshwar University of Science & Technology, Hisar.
